Registration Terms
1. Acceptance
By registering for the Event, you (“the Registrant”) agree to these Terms. If you register on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that business, and “you” includes both you and that business.
2. Business purpose
The Event is for founders, principals and senior decision-makers in wedding and event businesses. You confirm that you are registering in a business or professional capacity and not as a consumer. We may decline or cancel any registration at our discretion before the Event. If we do, we will refund the registration fee in full.
3. No refunds
All registration fees are non-refundable, except as stated in Section 7. This applies to every reason a Registrant cannot or chooses not to attend, including illness, travel disruption, scheduling conflicts, change of mind, late arrival, early departure, or failure to attend.
4. Transfers
Registrations are transferable to another person, subject to the following:
- (a) You must notify us in writing at [email address] no later than [48 hours] before the Event start time, providing the substitute’s full name, email address and business name.
- (b) The substitute must meet the attendance criteria in Section 2 and accepts these Terms in full by attending.
- (c) We may decline a substitute who does not meet those criteria. If we do, the registration stays with you and you may propose another substitute within the deadline.
- (d) Registrations may not be resold for more than the price originally paid, or sold through any third-party resale platform or marketplace.
- (e) A transfer does not entitle either party to a refund, partial refund or price adjustment.
5. Changes to the Event
We may change speakers, Leadership Forum contributors, the agenda, the session format, timings, or the venue (within New York City), where reasonably necessary. These changes do not entitle you to a refund. We will notify registered attendees of material changes as soon as reasonably possible.
6. Admission and conduct
We may refuse admission to, or remove, anyone whose conduct is disruptive, abusive, unsafe, or in breach of venue rules or these Terms. No refund applies in that case.
7. Cancellation or postponement by the Organizer
- (a) Cancellation. If we cancel the Event and do not reschedule it, we will refund the registration fee paid within [14] days of the cancellation notice.
- (b) Postponement. If we postpone the Event, your registration remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may transfer your registration under Section 4 or request a refund of the registration fee in writing within [14] days of our postponement notice. After that period, Section 3 applies.
- (c) Sole remedy. A refund under this Section is your sole and exclusive remedy for cancellation or postponement. We are not responsible for any other costs, including travel, accommodation, visas, lost business or time.
8. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in holding the Event caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, epidemics or public health orders, government action, strikes, transport disruption, utility or venue failure, fire, civil unrest or security threats. If such an event prevents the Event from taking place, Section 7 applies.
9. Nature of the Event Content
The Event, including all presentations, discussions, the Leadership Forum, exercises, materials and any follow-up communications (“Event Content”), is designed to be practical and applicable to the businesses of the attendees. Where Event Content addresses your business or situation, it is based solely on the information you choose to share during the Event, in a group setting and within the time available. It is not based on a review of your business, its finances, contracts, operations, legal position or other circumstances, and it may not account for factors we are not aware of.
Event Content is not legal, financial, tax, accounting, employment or insurance advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in those areas. Attending the Event does not create an ongoing consulting, advisory or fiduciary relationship or obligation between you and the Organizer. Any such relationship exists only under a separate written agreement.
10. Your responsibility for implementation
Any decision to act, or not to act, on Event Content, or on your interpretation of it, is solely yours. You are responsible for assessing whether anything discussed is appropriate, lawful and suitable for your business, and for seeking qualified professional advice where needed. We make no promise or guarantee of any outcome, including revenue, bookings, referrals, conversion rates or business performance. Testimonials and examples describe individual experiences and do not predict your results.
11. Third-party contributors
Views expressed by guest speakers, Leadership Forum contributors and other attendees are their own and do not represent the Organizer. We are not responsible for the accuracy or consequences of those views.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- (a) We are not liable for any loss, damage, claim or adverse outcome suffered by you or any other person (including your clients, employees, contractors or business partners) arising from the implementation of, reliance on, or interpretation of any Event Content.
- (b) We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, bookings, business, goodwill, reputation or data, however caused.
- (c) Our total liability to you arising from or connected with the Event or these Terms is limited to the registration fee you paid.
- (d) Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, fraud or intentional misconduct.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, its officers, employees and contributors from any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by any third party arising from your implementation of, or reliance on, Event Content in your business.
14. Venue and personal belongings
The venue is operated by a third party and you must comply with its rules. We are not responsible for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings at the Event.
15. Payment disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute for a charge that is non-refundable under these Terms, your registration will be cancelled, and we may provide these Terms and your acceptance of them to the payment provider.
16. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Event. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
